My Tinkerings !!

Breif description of the layout . The layout is basically a three level horse shoe shape with a helix at each end to take trains back under itself to reapear on the other side of the room . Out of site is a fairly basic fiddle yard which i can store approx 8 full length trains which can be bypassed in both directions , allowing for constant running . At a reasonable running speed trains take about three minutes to complete one circuit , this allowed me to insert block sections on the visible part (powered by lenz abc function) so i can run three trains on each line and they have about 45 seconds between them , after waiting at a signal for train ahead to clear the section in front . This keeps the whole layout moving all the time with trains waiting in the station for trains to clear the longest section. So whilst im shunting around the yard , trains constantly pass on the main lines next to it .

Track diagrams will follow shortly .

Above is a short video describing one circuit of the layout, sorry about the voice over, Ringo Star was busy!
