Thought i had better start a new page as so much is happening on Camelot at the moment. A few new arrivals from alley pally have started their duties on Camelot. A Hornby pendolino has been seen lurking around the station , pictures coming soon. Also this new bachmann 66 in DRS compass livery has arrived at the TMD.

Alot of you saw a BR blue 37 lurking around the demo board. Here it is stretching its legs past Camelot TMD with a rake of china clay wagons.

Major changes to Camelot were undertaken at this point in time, and they had there own page Here

Right, as you know alot of things have changed on Camelot , so now the latest pics will go back to being in here and not in reconstuction.
To start things off, here we have a full lenght pendolino approaching camelot station off the branchline.

Not sure yet if im going to leave this here or move it closer to the station. Here is one of the new Bachmann buildings which will make a nice addition to camelot , very good looking i think and when it has lights in it will look even better.

Here is a new addition to camelot, nice new hornby class 90 in fgw caledonian sleeper livery and a few coaches. I would normal stay clear of these models because i dont like the motors and the way they run. But this one has got all wheel pickups and runs very nice. On the back of the train is an old lima class 67, just incase it breaks down. Now all i need is catenary!

Station approach by the gas works is taking shape , with most of the wiring in place under the track.

Here is a Bachmann class 37 waiting at one of the reinstalled station signals.

I have started to make the new platforms for the station , and what a pain it is turning out to be. Curved platforms are a pig at any time, unless you have space to do giant curves. So here is a picture of what i have done so far. This is just a trial run to make it fit, the end result will have to be covered in plasticard, otherwise it will be to scruffy.

The bay platform is in now.

Here we a have a mordern looking buffer lamp. I purchased these from http://www.oo-levington.com/  They are easy to install and look great. Will include another picture soon when its all properly wired and blended in!

The other end of the station is still pretty bare but the other bay platform has been added. Some of the point motors are now in place aswell. Point motors are any easy job on one set of points but when you have this many it makes you want to cry! But still , im getting there and look forward to seeing it all running again.

Speaking of point motors, i have been trying out the new peco side mounted motors. Very pleased so far, but im still not sure if the look to wierd. But if it makes life easier as far as changing them and maintenance, then they are a winner in my books. Here is one, loosly fixed for testing , but has performed very well so far.

Signals are starting to appear around the station, he are all the platform starter signals for the up line bound trains. All but platform 1, on the new station are reversible.

Not getting fed up to much, but i need abreak from wiring. So i turned my attention to the new TMD area which still needs ballasting and scenery items sorting. So i finally got around to sorting this corner out. Here are a few pictures, as you can see i found a better home for the new bachmann warehouses, and gave them a bit of weathering and some weed growth. Still need to ballast and weather the tracks closest to camera.

Still working on the TMD i have now installed another 3 of the Levington buffer lamps at the end of the storage yard. I can now finish the weathering and ballasting in that corner.

Its a bit hot in the loft this week,  to hot for any big jobs, so i made do with a small bit of wiring and got around to photographing the other end of the station, for you to see the progress. It just needs tidying up now and all the signals put in place, which i still have to buy. Then i can start the scenic work.

DRS 66 now lightly weathered and chipped and ready for action on Camelot . A short description of fitting a 21 pin decoder can be found here http://www.camelotjunction.co.uk/21pinchips.htm
