New page for the new year and a lot of plans for Camelot if i dont move. We start this page with a picture of Camelot junction itself, still alot of work to be done. This is going to be the first area i tackle, got to replace the temporary point motor on the left and put one more right over the back to complete the motors.

Although the junction is working very well , im going to make one slight alteration. I've tried to show in picture below, im going to remove the point and replace it with a cross over and and another point on the left, so trains from the branch will go across 2 lines before joining the mainline.

Done it .... and in my eyes it looks so much better, makes the junction look smoother and makes for better running possibilities.

Here is a short clip of a train using the new crossover, its the 4th train on the clip you need to watch.

Slight diversion to the layout construction! I was sat looking at railway pictures today and i saw the (new) blue pullman train being pulled by a 47 with another on the rear, and i suddenly remembered i had a broken 47 in the loft that would be perfect for this job. So i ran up to the loft, and stripped down the broken (heljan) 47 and removed the worm drives in the bogies so the wheels would run free. I then wired up the lights so they would display a constant red and attached it to the back of the train with a large logo shell. What a difference it makes, it completes the train for me and looks good with the red lights on the rear. Bit hard to photograph it as it just looks like a normal train, but here it is anyway......

Just took a photo of the TMD storage sidings, not taken one for a while. Yard is still used on a regular basis to give trains a rest!

Finally got around to picking up my gner coaches for my hst, just one more needed now, the buffet, for the full set.

Work has been slow again on Camelot, due to Christmas and lack of pennies. So when i had a few spare hours i sat up there and made a small list of what had to be done to the layout and could be done on the cheap... Top of the list was my work bench, its a right mess all the time and iv'e always been meaning to sort out a powered bit of track on it for loco testing and some power points for other dcc related testing. I also added some new shelves for storing things that need to be done... as they always do...

Here is anothe view with a loco sat on the DCC powered track. The screws next to it with the wire attached to the track are for attaching wire to for when im cleaning the locos wheels. Just saves wires all over the place.

My changling 73 is at it again, same broken chassis, this time with a SWT battle of britain shell on it. Certainly stands out on the layout.  Picked up the shell at warley for £5.... bargain!

Attention passengers, the GNER service on platform 3 now has a buffet..... finally got a full set now..... Here is my faithful 08 shunting the newly arrived buffet coach....... now where's my airbrush!

Just another cheap and cheerful thing i added, a bit of scenery to one over the overbridge parts. Nothing special but its better than just wood, for the time being.

Not done anything to the layout for ages, and have only had the pennies for one small purchase.... and here it is, a new bachmann ews flat wagon. I also bought a wagon load to go on it, not sure if its how it would be carried, but the load its self is amazingly well detailed and come from a company called Duha.. they can be found here.  http://www.volny.cz/duha.du/
