Up north

It's that time of year again, when a few brave southern modellers head north to the Warley show at the NEC in birmingham. This year i was meeting up with a couple of other modellers, Martin from http://www.oo-levington.com and Mumbles from http://www.mumbles274.co.uk .We all had a great time at Warley and i bought lots of little bits this year instead of going mental like i normally do, infact the largest thing i bought was a snow plow by Flangeway models, very nice it is to. Below is a few pictures i took on my northerly trip (none at warley), also included was a unexpected visit to the amazing Grotland model by Andy. |

Here is a couple of pictures of Martinas layout.

It was lucky i bought the snow plow at warley as it was really cold up in martins loft and there was a good chance the trains would get snowed in. Mumbles said he couldn't feel the cold, and went for a walk in the fields behind martins house.

Looks like pc plod has stood in a large lump of chewing gum. Nice to see martins scale model of his caravan to the right of the policeman.

Martin kindly showed me and mumbles how to make signals for ourselves, so we would stop hassling him into making them for us(and let him out of the shed). We spent a good few hours making signals over the weekend helped along by a few beers and a drop of vodka. Here are a few examples of our early atempts, not bad for a first go, need to make a few more at home now to add to camelot. Also in this picture you can see some lovely 80s woodchip wall paper!
